Design Manager - Residential Construction
Location: Central London
Salary: £95,000-£110,000 per annum (proposed, subject to approval)
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Ridgeway & Co Recruitment are recruiting a Design Manager for an established main contractor delivering residential construction projects across Central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design process from pre-construction through project delivery.
- Coordinate architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants and specialist designers.
- Manage design programmes, submissions and approvals.
- Identify and resolve technical design issues.
- Ensure design information is coordinated and issued in line with construction programmes.
- Work closely with site management and commercial teams.
- Review compliance with building regulations and project specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
- Residential or mixed-use construction experience.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.
- Experience managing external design consultants.
- Knowledge of construction-stage design management and technical approvals.
- Relevant architectural, engineering or construction qualification preferred.
