We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable construction company based in Bishop’s Stortford, delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects valued up to £10m across the education, retail, commercial, healthcare and community sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple live construction projects from inception through to completion
- Manage Site Managers, subcontractors, and project delivery teams across several sites
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and programmes, taking corrective action where necessary
- Attend client meetings and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Provide leadership and support to site teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager with a main contractor
- Strong understanding of commercial and operational aspects of project delivery
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and health & safety regulations
