Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Manchester, we are now on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor your role will include:

  • Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues
  • Establish & maintain client relationships
  • Support business development activities by senior colleagues
  • Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
  • Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation
  • Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC)
  • Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice, plus Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations)
  • Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
  • Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Relevant degree qualified - RICS approved
  • MRICS Chartered
  • Have experience of advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties either in the public or private sector
  • Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills
  • Competent with NBS Chorus
  • Full UK Driving Licence

The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients, therefore a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential for being successful in this role. You will be of an analytical mind with a high level of intellect, combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations. You will need to demonstrate the capability of eventually managing individual team members, picking up and organising their project work and, where necessary, assisting them on projects.
