Our Senior Fire Engineers lead the delivery of fire engineering projects working directly with clients and design teams to develop practical, compliant and buildable solutions. We are recruiting an Associate who has extensive experience to be part of the design team from day one. You’ll work across a genuinely varied portfolio from Formula 1 facilities and heritage museums projects, to university frameworks and complex historic residential buildings. It’s the type of work that calls for sound judgement, close collaboration and practical fire strategies. This role can be based in any of our offices.

This is a role for someone who has extensive relevant experience of working at a senior level, confident taking ownership: leading fire strategies, managing delivery, and shaping outcomes across projects. You will help develop solutions that go beyond compliance and support real-world design.

What you need to do to be effective in this role:

  • Leading the development and delivery of fire strategies from concept through to completion
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and project teams
  • Managing project delivery, including programme, scope and quality
  • Producing and reviewing technical reports, calculations and analysis
  • Engaging with stakeholders including architects, contractors and approving authorities
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the fire engineering team

The skills and experience you need to have for this role:

You’ll already be operating at a senior level as an Associate, with experience delivering fire engineering projects within a consultancy environment. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can take ownership of projects and see them through to completion
  • Is confident working directly with clients and leading discussions
  • Applies sound technical judgement and produces high-quality outputs
  • Supports and develops others within the team

Come and join us if you’re hungry to be part of an exceptional team - if you put quality first - if you’re motivated by ingenuity and if you’re always aspiring to be the very best.

Your benefits:

  • Annual leave: A healthy holiday allowance that starts at 25 days pa, plus the option to buy, carry over or sell.
  • Community spirit: You can take three volunteering days each year to spend time on causes close to your heart.
  • Mental health: Mental Health First Aiders are here to support you, backed up by Unum’s Help@hand app.
  • Financial benefits: A path to peace of mind: life assurance, pension scheme and income protection.
  • Physical wellbeing: Your health is a priority for us too, so we offer medical insurance, private GP access and discounted gym membership.
  • Flexible working: Our flexible approach to hybrid working is there to suit you, your family and your team.
