This role provides hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects and surveying instructions. You will work on schemes within residential, education, industrial and commercial sectors, gaining exposure to a variety of professional services, including:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) surveys
- Pre-acquisition Building Surveys
- Design and Contract Administration
You will collaborate with an impressive client portfolio, including major retailers, local authorities, museums, universities, colleges and property investors. Key responsibilities include:
- Support contract administration duties, including attending meetings, preparing specifications, procuring tenders, producing contract documents and undertaking site inspections.
- Assist in carrying out building surveys, accurately recording site information and summarising findings clearly and concisely.
- Analyse and report on building defects.
- Assist with the supervision of works on site.
- Provide advice on design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment across a variety of residential and commercial buildings.
- Undertake building, condition and measured surveys.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2:2 bachelor's degree in a RICS-accredited Building Surveying or related course.
- Genuine passion for the built environment and the surveying profession.
- Curiosity, enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn from experienced colleagues who are committed to developing future talent.
- Ambition to become a Chartered Building Surveyor, with the drive to progress through the APC.
- Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation in line with our quality standards.
