Due to continued business growth, we have a great opportunity for a talented Building Surveyor to join our team in Leeds. We have a depth and breadth of experience, expertise, and local knowledge to support our clients at every stage of property investment, ownership, and occupation from acquisition to disposal.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of building surveyors covering all aspects of professional and project related building surveying across a wide range of sectors including educational, commercial, industrial etc.
The role will cover the full spectrum of building surveying services including (but not limited to):
- Design and specification
- Clerk of works
- Contract administration surveys
- Dilapidations
Delivering projects, commissions, and professional services while maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful completion of the projects.
Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner and help to promote Ridge and Partners by engaging with clients and attending networking events.
Assist with the undertaking of building surveys, taking particulars on site, attending meetings, writing up specifications, obtaining estimates, planning maintenance programmes, and administering contracts for maintenance work.
Support the Building Surveying team on complex multi-disciplinary schemes and help with analysing and reporting on building defects.
Support the Building Surveyors with preparing schedules of dilapidations and negotiate settlements, as well as assist with the supervision of building work on site.
Assist the Building Surveyors with providing advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of property.
A full driving licence and good IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS and other software) are required.
As a Building Surveyor at Ridge and Partners, you will need to demonstrate the desire, drive, and real enthusiasm to become a Chartered Building Surveyor, which will be fully supported by the company (the national Ridge APC support process) and the local Building Surveying Team.
An ability to produce your own documentation based on our standards is essential, as is an ability to organise and manage your time efficiently in the delivery of services for multiple projects at any one time.
