We are recruiting a team of Quantity Surveyors to work on a client’s project within the utilities sector. These roles can be based in our Birmingham, Oxford, Manchester, Liverpool, Reading and London offices and will suit candidates who are either ready for the next step in their careers or have proven experience and are seeking a new opportunity where they can provide commercial assurance of capital delivery contracts utilising their skillset and gain experience within a new environment, and mentor junior team members to progress their careers.
What you need to do to be effective in these roles:
- Provide Commercial Assurance of Capital Delivery Contracts
- Challenge, negotiating and agreeing Project Tenders on assigned Portfolio
- Ensure that payments are made on time and in accordance with the Contract for your given portfolio of Projects
- Assess the Quantum of Change and / or Extension of Time under the relevant Contracts on assigned portfolio
- Ensure that appropriate processes are in place and monitored on your Projects to ensure that Contractual Compliance is maintained and advising stakeholders if any non-performance is identified and corrective actions implemented as necessary
- Attend monthly site meetings on site
- Support the management and optimisation of budgets and spend on portfolio of projects
- Auditing, processing, reconciling and agreeing project accounts
The skills and experience you need to have for this role:
- To be considered for a senior role, you will be able to evidence a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience of providing commercial assurance of capital delivery contracts, working on projects relevant to the type of work being supported by this agreement and with demonstrable ability to operate at the level defined.
- You will manage team members to ensure they carry out their responsibilities as stated above.
- You will provide contractual advice and support to the Capital Delivery team and support the Principal and Managing Quantity Surveyor with the resolution of Claims as necessary.
- To be considered for a Quantity Surveyor role in the team, you will be required to evidence a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in quantity surveying roles, working on projects relevant to the type of work this role requires and with demonstrable ability to operate at the level defined.
- You will be qualified to degree Level or HNC/HND/NVQ qualified in a relevant subject.
