Due to our continuing success and expansion within our Building Surveying team in Birmingham, we are seeking a passionate and driven individual for the position of Senior / Chartered Building Surveyor. This role offers opportunities for progression to Senior Surveyor and beyond.
Team Overview
You will join an experienced team of Building Surveyors focusing on key client accounts, providing technical support to clients with diverse national property portfolios. As the team grows, you may manage team members, organize project work, and assist on projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing detailed briefs with clients and senior colleagues
- Maintaining client relationships
- Supporting business development activities
- Producing designs, specifications, and tender documentation
- Administering JCT building contracts
- Performing professional surveying tasks (condition surveys, defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, feasibilities, etc.)
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Mentoring team members and managing project finances
Qualifications and Skills:
- MRICS Chartered (preferred)
- Experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties in public or private sectors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD / REVIT skills (training available)
- Familiarity with NBS Chorus
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
High communication skills and commercial awareness are essential, as you will be the key contact for prestigious clients.
