About The Opportunity
Due to significant growth and project demands, we have a unique and exciting role opening for a junior visualisation technician. Roles within this team rarely become available, and this could offer a dream job for someone passionate about motorsport & design. The role will involve working with our existing visualisation team and the wider design team to create our designs in the virtual world, spanning from architectural visualisations to virtual race‑track simulator models. The role will suit a candidate with education or experience in 3D modelling, visualisation or gaming design.
What You'll Be Doing
- CAD drafting & formatting which can be used in a drawing or used for 3D modelling.
- Working with Design Engineers to develop simulator models and refine the driving experience of our race tracks.
- Researching and developing technical tools to improve our workflow under the guidance of senior team members.
- Developing feature‑complete drivable simulator models for clients or the public to use on their racing simulators.
- Working within the limits of the game engine, curating file sizes, polygon counts and loading speeds.
- Optimising environments and establishing accurate but optimal physics meshes.
- Resolving material errors and collision issues.
- Game‑testing levels created on the simulator.
- Visiting existing or new race tracks during modifications or new construction.
- 3D modelling other environments such as buildings, site layouts, landscapes, vehicles as per our project designs.
Your Skills And Experience
This is a niche and bespoke role, so we are open to candidates with the following:
- A portfolio or demo reel.
- High‑level artistic skills – proportion, colour, composition.
- Solid understanding of digital art fundamentals such as PBR workflow, modern rendering techniques and lighting.
- Experience in digital art content creation – modelling, unwrapping, texturing, rendering.
- Ability to use 3D modelling software such as Blender, 3ds Max, SideFX Houdini.
- Ability to use rendering engines such as Cycles or Unreal Engine.
- At least some experience or knowledge using basic 2D CAD software is important – training will be provided on our specific software.
