This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the development and expansion of our new Geospatial discipline within Ridge and work amongst a keen and driven young group of professionals in order to diversify our existing client base and promote further success of the team. With one of the largest teams of chartered surveyors in the property sector, located in regional offices across the UK, we have a depth and breadth of experience, expertise and local knowledge to support our clients at every stage of property investment, ownership and occupation from acquisition to disposal.
We work with a wide range of clients to manage their property portfolios, projects and transactions and due to our continuing success; Ridge and Partners are now looking for a talented Revit/CAD Technician to join our multi-disciplinary consultancy office in our Oxford office. As a Revit / CAD Technician at Ridge you will benefit from on job learning experiences whilst working on prestigious projects. Our projects include large residential, industrial, and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to much smaller schemes. You will also work with interesting clients including large retail companies, local authorities, Schools/Universities, contractors, developers etc together with the option to work on exciting overseas projects.
Duties:
- Generate 3D Revit models to varying levels of detail and tolerances from point cloud survey data for as-built information captured via laser scanners.
- Generate 2D AutoCAD information in the form of plans, elevations, sections for existing building from point cloud data.
- Setting up views of Revit models onto Ridge standard sheets for plans, elevations etc.
- Aligning survey data and models/drawings to real world co-ordinates within Revit/AutoCAD.
- Presenting data to clients and issuing results via our in-house drawing lifecycle manager.
Requirements:
- Experience with working with point cloud data in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Technical Building Regulations knowledge and Planning Law would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in providing Revit / CAD support on Architectural projects for the team through all RIBA architectural stages including space planning, technical detailing would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of COBie data and facilities management packages would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD is essential, but some training can be provided to the suitable candidate.
- Knowledge of Dynamo scripting would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of presenting as-built survey information in line with the RICS Measured surveys of Land, Buildings and Utilities.
Details:
Working hours are between 08:30 and 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break (Monday - Wednesday). Starting earlier and finishing late on some occasions will be required to meet certain project deadlines. Remote working can be offered as part of this role but some office attendance is expected.
