We are expanding our Project Management team within the Water and Regulated Utilities sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to lead and deliver projects that support major UK water utilities and environmental programmes.

You will play a key role in delivering small to medium-sized projects and supporting senior colleagues on complex programmes.

  • What you need to do to be effective in this role
  • Take ownership of small to medium-sized water infrastructure projects from inception to close-out.
  • Lead allocation of actions, track progress, and report against contractual milestones.
  • Support senior project managers on major programmes for clients such as Thames Water, Environment Agency, and other regulated utilities.
  • Set up and maintain project management plans, document control systems, and reporting dashboards.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively communicate deviations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and client governance processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders across utilities, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships.

  • Project Delivery: 3-5 years’ experience managing small to medium-sized projects from inception to close-out, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e. g.

  • Consultancy-side project management experience.
  • Previous involvement in Environment Agency or water utility projects.
  • Basic understanding of design management and NEC contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent.
  • Working towards chartership (Ch PP, CEng, MRICS) is desirable.
