As a key point of contact for our clients, a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness will be essential. Travel to project‑related locations is part of the role, mainly within the south of England, with the team based in Winchester, Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Field-based data collection, undertaking stock surveys and providing EPCs
- Assisting with the management of surveys and coordination with fieldwork managers
- Liaising with the data analysts within the team
- Undertaking physical re‑inspections, accompanied visits and other data on‑site QA checks
- Dealing with confidential data
- Providing input into asset‑management advice and support
- Completing Decent Homes and HHSRS assessments and validations
- Ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge of current asset management, compliance and statutory best practice and regulatory requirements when advising clients
Qualifications & Experience
- Residential building surveying background with experience of large‑scale stock condition surveys and related asset management
- Knowledge of electronic data capture systems
- Appropriate qualifications such as RICS or CIOB, and knowledge of construction technology relating to residential accommodation
- Additional compliance‑related experience and qualifications, e.g. DEA, FPA, NEBOSH, P402/405 (desirable; energy assessor training will be provided if not currently held)
- Attention to detail and a professional demeanour, methodical and intellectually sharp with excellent management and oral skills to ensure projects are delivered to a high quality within agreed timelines
- Experience in related databases (not necessarily within the housing sector)
- Analytical mind with excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust outputs for the team and clients
- Will be fully supported by Ridge in gaining initial and ongoing training where knowledge may be limited
