We are seeking an individual with a genuine passion for project management within the Technology space, who is eager to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact. Bringing established experience as a project manager, playing a pivotal role in supporting our Head of Technology Delivery and the wider Technology team to deliver against our existing roadmap. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of technology and change projects across the business.
Focusing on the more technical IT projects within our Infrastructure and InfoSec pillars of Tech, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, technicians and business analysts to structure and drive project delivery aligned to our strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will span the management of smaller localised initiatives to larger scale operations such as the adoption of AI and cloud transformation. A hands‑on approach and a willingness to engage with detail are essential.
You will collaborate with key business stakeholders, end users and external partners to ensure the smooth running and implementation of projects. Exceptional communication skills will be essential as you translate complex project details, risks, and technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels. With a focus on our technical projects, there will also be opportunities to work with our many disciplines within the built environment. You will help shape the way technology is perceived and utilised across Ridge, developing a culture of best practices and supporting knowledge sharing across the business. Ultimately, your work will enable Ridge to achieve its long‑term aspirations by ensuring that technology solutions are governed, effective and embedded.
What you need to do to be effective in this role:
- Define project scope, objective and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Deliver projects in line with defined project governance
- Develop full‑scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Ability to assess project health and make appropriate changes
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Manage and track stakeholder activities and accountability
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Work with key stakeholders where required to secure project resources
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Create a positive project culture and embed best practices
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Determine the frequency and delivery of status reporting to different stakeholder levels
- Work with budget holders to track project expenditure
What will you need to be successful?
- Proven experience with IT projects
- Experience with Infrastructure and Information Security projects
- Strong working technical IT knowledge
- Ability to apply both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies
- Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner certification preferable
- Strong and experienced project manager
- Familiarity with project management software and PMO tools
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
- Ability to lead initiatives independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Persuasive, encouraging and motivating
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
