Join our MEP team based at the grounds of Blenheim Palace just outside Oxford. Initially, you will work on a large Science and Research project in Oxford, integrated into the Ridge Project Management Team to assist in delivering a milestone project for a key client. We offer a highly supportive environment where you can develop your career and progress rapidly in either a technical or managerial path.

Key Duties

  • To lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work.
  • Managing risk within MEP engineering projects while maintaining excellent commercial acumen.
  • Act as the lead engineer in a design team responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design.
  • Supervise and monitor the work of others in this function.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Produce reports, drawings, and specifications for various RIBA design stages.
  • Liaise closely with other professionals—including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in‑house and external project teams.
  • Attend a range of project group and technical meetings.
  • Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements.

Skills Required

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to foster long‑term productive working relationships.
  • Significant experience in an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background.
  • Holding an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND).
  • Working towards or having achieved IEng or CEng status.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a close‑knit team toward a shared goal.
  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high standards of client care.
