If you’re ready to launch a meaningful career in Civil/Structural Engineering, applications are now open for an Apprentice Civil or Structural Engineer to join our Autumn 2026 ELEVATE apprenticeship programme. We are open to considering candidates for either the L4 or L6 apprenticeship. As part of our ELEVATE degree apprenticeship programme you benefit from a permanent contract and salary while you work towards a degree that we fund. Your first two years with us follows a structured programme giving you the perfect blend of education, hands-on experience and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with structural engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion
- Assisting with calculations packages for Building Control submission
- Supporting survey inspections and producing written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations
- Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Represent the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals
- Help to prepare client / project proposals
- Get involved with design philosophy / design fundamentals

Entry Requirements
Level 4 (HNC)
- A Levels EEE - must include Maths (excluding General Studies) and preferably a Science - Chemistry or Physics
- T Level (pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area (must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics)
- Building Services Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship MP alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA and 5 GCSEs C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent
Level 6 (Degree)
- A Levels BBB - must include Maths (excluding General Studies) and preferably a Science - Chemistry or Physics
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DDM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics
- Building Services Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship DD alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA and 5 GCSEs C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent

- Once you’ve achieved your accredited degree, we’ll continue to offer you support and guidance to become qualified through our internal network of ‘chartership champions’.
- Depending on your discipline, you may achieve your chartership at the End Point Assessment (EPA) of your Apprenticeship, or there may be additional post-apprenticeship learning requirements before you become fully qualified.

- We have a full timetable of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, such as webinars, short courses and masterclasses, to enhance your skills in focused areas.
