Ridgacre Medical Centres is a highly regarded group of GP surgeries based in the Quinton and Nechells areas of Birmingham offering a comprehensive range of medical services. We are proud to have been rated as a practice to be Outstanding by CQC on two occasions. We are a forward-thinking, busy and friendly general practice with over 22,000 patients and around 50 staff across 3 sites and are looking to recruit a Medical Administrator to join our supportive, enthusiastic and friendly team at the Quinton site.
The successful applicant will need excellent communication and IT skills. They will need to be flexible as they may be asked to cover for sickness and holiday leave. A full driving licence and own transport are essential. The successful applicant will be a confident individual with excellent communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate strengths in the following areas:

Work with the practice to achieve the quality indicators in the Quality Outcomes Framework and the requirements of the enhanced services, particularly in identifying and contacting patients by telephone or by recall letters. Undertake administrative duties for:
- Overseeing the organisation and administration of medical teaching rotas
- Managing the admin/non-clinical processes surrounding QOF, Enhanced Services and other contracts
- Workflow and Coding Clinical Letters
- Monitoring practice compliance to CQC requirements and liaising with managers and team leads for required actions
- Coordinating practice GDPR requirements to ensure compliance
- Assisting in admin duties as required due to absence or annual leave
- Reviewing and documenting CAS alerts and escalating/actioning where required
- Designing leaflets/posters
- Ensuring annual patient satisfaction surveys are completed
- Maintaining noticeboards
- Providing support and training for current and new staff in resolving simple problems with PCs and printers
- Liaising with CSU IT service desk to resolve other hardware and software issues
- Acting as practice coordinator for IT hardware and practice telecoms
The successful candidate will be expected to follow processes and procedures, and be able to work on their own initiative with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload. The applicant must be punctual, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team. Medical administration experience is essential although training can be provided if necessary.
