Our dedicated team provides a wealth of experience across all sectors, delivering expert cost advice throughout the MEP market. We are currently recruiting a Cost Manager or Senior Cost Manager (Mechanical and Electrical) to join our London office. This role will involve providing MEP Cost Management services across high‑profile, complex projects in sectors such as Major Projects, Aviation, Hotels & Leisure, Retail, Residential, Sports & Entertainment, and Industrial & Logistics.
Role Responsibilities
- Leading the successful delivery of MEP packages and projects from a cost management / quantity surveying perspective.
- Integral part of a team accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
- Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying.
- Strategic cost planning and management.
- Procurement and contract administration.
- Financial reporting and risk management.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Benchmarking and market intelligence.
- Systems and process improvement.
- Compliance and governance.
- Contribute to the financial performance of projects and the wider business, including revenue and profitability.
- Promote efficiency, effectiveness and best practice across projects and teams.
- Keep up to date with current thinking and best practice within the discipline.
- Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver projects successfully and on budget.
- Comply with established Commercial, Procurement, Contractual strategies.
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline.
- Preferably Chartered via RICS or another relevant professional body, or studying toward.
Experience
- Strong technical delivery experience.
- MEP Cost Management experience.
- Client‑facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
- Previous employment by a consultancy, specialist MEP firm or contractor.
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
