Department Overview:
Our dedicated Specification Consultancy Team at RLB produce Architectural Specification documents on behalf of our Architectural Clients. We are a sector focused business actively operating and investing in Commercial, Residential, Education, Sports, Public Sector and Retail clients and projects. Specifiers work in close contact with their clients, advising them, amongst other things, on procurement, contractual and materials, as well as implementing Specifications within a BIM environment. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to our clients and enjoy long term relationships with them.
Overview of Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Specification Consultant with Common Arrangement/ CSI Masterformat expertise to join our team within the London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to strengthen our department and further develop the business by working closely with our existing clients and developing new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high calibre Specification Consultancy and Writing services.
- To support business objectives and our goal to maintain Customer Service Excellence.
- Being an active part of the team.
- Successfully achieving the required level of business development and profit growth.
- Take personal responsibility for delivering projects independently, on time and to the quality required.
- Project Managing specification projects to ensure they are resourced correctly and delivered on-time.
Person Specification:
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering service excellence, with good commercial results.
- Degree qualified in Architecture or similar technical discipline.
- Strong technical delivery experience.
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
- Excellent specification writing skills.
- Knowledge of Common Arrangement / CSI Masterformat.
- Detailed understanding of JCT Contracts.
- Detailed understanding of Procurement Routes and how they affect the specification.
- Strong track record in project management of projects from inception to completion.
- Track record of working with Architects.
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
- Able to build long-term relationships.
- Previously employed by a consultancy.
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
- A team player, outgoing, friendly, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious.
