Overview of role
This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing the billing team across UK & Europe. The person will set all strategic direction for all billing operations, ensuring our processes are efficient, accurate, compliant and targets are met, whilst developing high performing teams and driving constant improvements and efficiencies. This person will oversee an international team and ensure companywide billing requirements are achieved.
Key Duties:
- Leading the Billing function and setting strategic goals and operational priorities
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline billing operations
- Develop and implement Billing SOP, international billing policies, procedures and best practices
- Monitoring performance metrics, driving improvements, and delivering on KPIs to the CFO, regional directors and board
- Liaise directly with clients, senior management, technical teams and clients to resolve billing queries and ensure alignment with client billing guidelines as well as initial client onboarding
- Ensure compliance with global VAT Laws, International invoicing requirements by country, account rules and international financial controls and billing practices
- Monitor, strategize and reduce Work in Progress across the business
- Collaborate with finance, compliance and legal operations teams to support audits and internal reporting requirements
- Responsible for leading the monthly billing process across the group
- Responsible for overall billing communication, keeping the UK, Europe and key stakeholders up to date with all necessary information
- Direct management of 5 Team Leads and indirect management of 15 FTEs
- Overseeing international E-Billing for the company
- In charge of ERP updates
- Travel may be required to all UK & European offices
Essential
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach and will be committed to delivering internal and external customer service excellence.
- 5 years’ plus experience in a similar role in an international company leading a transformational billing function
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance including international legal billing standards, VAT and Accounts rules
- Experience in billing function transformation or contributing to ERP implementations, enhancements and upgrades
- D365 experience preferred
