Role Overview
Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager / Associate with on-site experience to act as Project Director for one of RLB's key clients, on a significant project within the Data Centre sector. The role would suit an experienced individual who enjoys being on site and managing the client, design teams and contractors. The works over the coming years involve the development of several phases of buildings for a Data Centre campus. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join and strengthen our Project Management team and Data Centre capability.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the successful delivery of Data Centre projects (in conjunction with the support Project Management partners) with a view to securing repeat business.
- Contract Administration (requires a good understanding of building contracts).
- Manage the client, design teams and contractors.
- Perform team management duties.
- Assist the Project Management Partners in developing a pipeline of Data Centre opportunities.
- Support the development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs.
- Support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
- Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies.
- Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
Experience
- Experienced Senior Project Manager / Associate / Project Director with on-site experience.
- Data Centre / Mission Critical sector experience is essential.
- Data Centre MEP, Data Centre Fit Out experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
- Experience managing clients, design teams and contractors.
- Contract administration / Employer’s Agent experience required.
- Managing Data Centre projects across the design, tender and construction stages.
Qualifications
- Chartership - Professional (chartered) qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM ChPP).
- Construction related degree or a similar construction related qualification with wide-ranging technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy.
