We are recruiting a Cost Manager or Senior Cost Manager to join our London office. This role will involve providing all MEP Cost Management services across a variety of ever‑changing, high‑profile, high‑value, and complex projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of MEP packages and projects from a cost management/quantity surveying perspective.
- Be an integral part of a team accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying.
- Strategic cost planning and management.
- Procurement and contract administration.
- Financial reporting and risk management.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Benchmarking and market intelligence.
- Systems and process improvement.
- Compliance and governance.
- Contribute to the financial performance of projects and the wider business, including revenue and profitability.
- Promote efficiency, effectiveness and best practice across projects and teams.
- Keep up to date with current thinking and best practice within the discipline.
- Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver projects successfully and on budget.
- Comply with established commercial, procurement, contractual strategies.
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline.
- Preferably Chartered via RICS or another relevant professional body, or currently studying toward.
Experience
- Strong technical delivery experience.
- Experience in MEP Cost Management.
- Client‑facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
- Previously employed by a consultancy, specialist MEP firm or contractor.
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
