We are currently recruiting a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our client-focused team on various projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate to join and strengthen our team, providing all core surveying services on a number of interesting areas of property.
Department: Built Asset Consultancy
Role Responsibilities:
- Client relationship management and reporting to Partners
- Ensure delivery of value for money in all circumstances
- Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
- Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
- Take personal accountability for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
- Manage and prepare key stage reports from feasibility through to completion and post-handover
- Prepare programmes, surveys and reports
- Manage multiple projects on live operational sites
- Assist with the preparation of contract documents
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams
- Administer building contracts
- Manage the design, H&S and commercial process
- Take full ownership from project brief to final completion and occupation
- Undertake asset management surveys and planned maintenance inspections
Candidate Profile:
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
- MRICS or membership of another relevant professional body or close to obtaining chartership
- Strong technical delivery experience
- Ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently
- Excellent specification writing skills
- Good knowledge of JCT Contracts
- Track record in project management from inception to completion
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders
- Client facing with high standard of technical delivery
- Able to build long-term relationships
- Previously employed by a consultancy
- Experience managing projects by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
