We are currently recruiting a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our client-focused team on various projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate to join and strengthen our team, providing all core surveying services on a number of interesting areas of property.

Department: Built Asset Consultancy

Role Responsibilities:

  • Client relationship management and reporting to Partners
  • Ensure delivery of value for money in all circumstances
  • Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Take personal accountability for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
  • Manage and prepare key stage reports from feasibility through to completion and post-handover
  • Prepare programmes, surveys and reports
  • Manage multiple projects on live operational sites
  • Assist with the preparation of contract documents
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Administer building contracts
  • Manage the design, H&S and commercial process
  • Take full ownership from project brief to final completion and occupation
  • Undertake asset management surveys and planned maintenance inspections

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
  • MRICS or membership of another relevant professional body or close to obtaining chartership
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • Ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently
  • Excellent specification writing skills
  • Good knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Track record in project management from inception to completion
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Client facing with high standard of technical delivery
  • Able to build long-term relationships
  • Previously employed by a consultancy
  • Experience managing projects by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
