Role Overview

Our Cost Management Team proactively manage the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building’s completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation, once the building is up and running.

We have an exciting opportunity available due to continued growth, to join our established Cardiff Cost Management Team, with a focus on various real estate sectors including residential, education and more.

Role Responsibilities

  • Individually or as part of a team operate processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors.
  • Being involved in all aspects of Cost Planning.
  • Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals.
  • Providing advice on procurement strategy.
  • Preparing and issuing tender documents.
  • Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience managing your own projects within similar sectors.
  • Previous experience in a Cost Manager role in a Consultancy environment.
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
  • Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
  • Studying toward RICS chartership (or another relevant professional body).
