Role Overview
Our Cost Management Team proactively manages the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building’s completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation, once the building is up and running. Due to continued growth in our West & Wales region, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager or MRICS Cost Manager to join our established team in Cardiff. The role will focus on a variety of sectors including but not limited to residential (private and public sector), education (universities) and infrastructure (rail), while offering progression and development opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience
- Proven technical delivery experience on similar projects.
- Managing team members on projects and line‑management duties.
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager role in a consultancy environment.
- Employer’s Agent experience is desirable.
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
- Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline (RICS Accredited).
- MRICS or chartered via another professional body.
- Behaviours
