Role Overview
We are seeking a high calibre professional full-time Health and Safety Practitioner to join the H&S team in ensuring compliance in our Health and Safety management system. Advising on the development and maintenance of H&S policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and ISO standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of internal professionals who pride themselves on providing outstanding corporate QSHECR guidance and advice. The successful candidate will work closely with the professional consultants and undertake regular audits of all services provided to external clients on various contracts. Please note this is a full-time corporate role working to the RLB Hybrid Policy. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to travel regularly and stay away from home if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing health and safety advice and guidance on policy and procedures as required to RLB employees.
- Undertake health and safety internal audits in the workplace across all professional services, this will involve some travel.
- Assist in developing the certification process and achievement of ISO45001 and integration of current ISO9001 & 14001 systems with the new ISO45001 standard requirements.
- Assist with the measurement, review and audit of the H&S management processes and H&S performances of the professional services and to report on the effectiveness of the measures taken.
- Undertake process of undertaking RLB specific risk assessments, including Individual and events.
- Assist with the implementation of European H&S management systems to align to RLB UK procedures and local European regulations.
- Undertake H&S training and inductions via Teams and/or face to face.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high levels of customer service excellence with good commercial awareness. Qualified candidates with experience in H&S management systems are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH
- Member of IOSH working towards Chartership desirable
- 45001 Auditor and/or Lead auditor qualification desirable
Experience
- Understanding of the Built Asset Environment.
- Excellent IT and communication skills, including a working understanding of Microsoft Teams.
- Previous experience in similar H&S role.
