RICS is the global professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management, and development of land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure.

At RICS, you will be part of a respected global professional body with a clear public-interest remit. You will join a collaborative and supportive Regulation team, with the opportunity to apply your expertise in a role that has real visibility and impact across the profession. Our Regulation department plays a vital role in upholding our reputation and ensuring that our members operate to the highest standards of professional integrity. We offer hybrid working, a 35-hour working week, opportunities for professional development and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Professional Indemnity Insurance specialist looking for a role where your expertise can directly influence professional standards, regulatory outcomes, and public confidence?

RICS is seeking a Registration & Compliance Specialist (PII) to join our Regulation directorate. This is a visible and influential role, supporting RICS’ regulatory objectives by managing PII-related dispensations, undertaking risk assessments, and helping to ensure that regulated firms continue to meet appropriate professional indemnity requirements.

Working as a subject matter expert, you will provide clear advice on PII matters, support decision-making on complex dispensations, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement across registration and compliance processes. You will also play an important role in sharing knowledge across regulatory teams and supporting colleagues to apply consistent, proportionate, and risk-based approaches.

The role is hybrid, with 60% of working time spent in the office and 40% working from home.

About You

You will bring strong experience in the insurance industry, with knowledge of Professional Indemnity Insurance. You will be confident assessing and communicating complex risk issues, working with senior stakeholders, and applying sound judgement in a regulatory or standards-based environment. You will also be highly organised, analytical, and able to explain technical matters clearly to a range of audiences.

Experience within a regulatory body, professional standards organisation, or a role involving training, mentoring or stakeholder engagement would be beneficial. If you are motivated by professional standards, risk-based regulation and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to public confidence in the profession, we would welcome your application.
