Through trusted standards, professional expertise and independent regulation, we help create sustainable and resilient places. Our Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) supports fair and professional resolution of disputes across the built and natural environment. By providing independent alternative dispute resolution services, we help organisations address complex issues while maintaining trust across the profession.

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

As the Projects and Engagement Specialist, you’ll support the delivery and promotion of our dispute resolution services, training, and engagement activities. Working closely with colleagues across RICS and external partners, you’ll coordinate projects, develop communications, and support events that raise awareness of alternative dispute resolution. This is a varied role where organisation, curiosity and collaboration all play a part. You’ll help ensure initiatives are well planned, communications are clear and engaging, and events run smoothly.

  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of DRS projects and initiatives
  • Creating and editing content for newsletters, web pages and social media
  • Helping maintain and update online content to ensure information remains current
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement activities with colleagues and external partners
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of events such as webinars, seminars and roundtables
  • Supporting event logistics, including registrations, speakers and communications
  • Tracking activity and gathering feedback to improve future initiatives
  • Preparing presentations, documents and materials to support team work

This role follows RICS’ hybrid working approach, with colleagues typically spending around 60% of their time in the office and 40% working remotely. Occasional travel may be required to support events or engagement activities.

About You

You enjoy working across projects and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders. You’re naturally organised and comfortable juggling a range of tasks, while keeping an eye on detail and deadlines. You take initiative and enjoy contributing ideas – whether that’s coordinating a project, supporting an event, or creating clear and engaging communications. You’re curious about how things work and happy to be part of a supportive, friendly team.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience supporting projects, communications or engagement activities
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Confidence using digital tools and administrative systems
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute ideas
  • Experience or interest in alternative dispute resolution, professional services or the built environment would be helpful – but not essential. We’re happy to support learning in these areas.
