What you will be doing:

  • Lead the commercial optimisation of the renewed contract, identifying and delivering initiatives that increase profitability, reduce operational cost, and replicate previous contract savings performance.
  • Embed the expanded contract scope, ensuring contractual Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements, and financial objectives are achieved during the optimisation phase.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of the PDQ digital print submission tool to end users, maximising outsourced print volumes by driving user adoption and process improvement.
  • Track and report financial benefits realised from optimisation activity, including savings, margin improvement, and revenue growth.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and reputational risks associated with contract transition, ensuring compliance with contract terms, governance frameworks, and local authority standards.
  • Support the identification of further value‑added services and optimisation opportunities within scope to maximise contract profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver a controlled handover into Business‑As‑Usual operations once optimisation objectives are achieved.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in commercial optimisation of outsourced service contracts, ideally within local government or public sector.
  • Experience in managed print services or document outsourcing environments.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering cost savings, margin improvement, and value realisation.
  • Experience implementing print, document, or workflow technologies in complex organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of local authority governance, procurement, and service models.
  • Experience transitioning contracts from optimisation into BAU operation.
  • Good understanding of change management principles.
