What you will be doing

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Lead the EMEA L&D strategy for sales and commercial, firmly aligned to 26 MTS, combining learning, career development, reskilling and upskilling strategies and induction.
    • Develop L&D solutions to drive profitable sales and grow revenue.
    • Turn business priorities into clear learning plans and development paths, working side by side with the Sales Enablement team.
    • Ensure learning is consistent across markets, following an 80/20 central-to-local approach.
    • Ensure the Ricoh Way of Selling continues to develop into a world-class sales development programme.
    • Play a key, strategic role in changing Ricoh’s learning culture as part of the EMEA L&D LT.
  • Partnership with Sales Enablement & Commercial Leadership
    • Work in close strategic partnership with Sales Enablement to identify sales capability needs, skill gaps, and future competencies, building learning solutions around their requirements, as the owners of the sales strategy.
    • Partner with leaders to ensure learning supports product strategy, go-to-market plans, and performance goals.
    • Maintain strong alignment with Sales Enablement leadership to ensure programmes are relevant and adopted.
    • Work with the HR Business Partners and commercial leaders to improve performance across the function.
  • Learning Design & Delivery
    • Lead the creation, delivery and rollout of EMEA wide programmes that build core selling skills, solution knowledge, and commercial performance, utilising existing methodologies (e.g. MEDICC).
    • Facilitate sessions and coach for all levels of colleagues in Sales and Commercial, up to Sales Director level.
    • Oversee structured upskilling and reskilling pathways that keep teams current, as portfolio and market needs evolve.
    • Deliver sales (and service) training that Ricoh develops as a manufacturer.
    • Use modern learning approaches (blended, digital, social, workflow embedded).
    • Work with Market L&D leads to understand local needs and deliver local tailoring where required.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and develop the Sales L&D team (four people).
    • Build a culture of collaboration, consistency, innovation and continuous learning.
    • Manage external providers and ensure solutions are high quality, scalable and cost effective.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management
    • Build strong working relationships with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Product, HR and the markets.
    • Balance central strategy with local needs to deliver practical, effective solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on skills development and commercial capability.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
    • Set clear measures of success and track the impact of learning on commercial performance.
    • Use data and feedback to improve programmes and ensure ongoing relevance.
    • Promote best practice sharing across markets.

You will ideally have

  • Proven senior learning leadership, operating at regional or global level within multiple complex, multinational organisations, with a specialism in Sales L&D.
  • Deep expertise in designing, developing, delivering and leading world-class commercial and sales capability strategies, demonstrating measurable impact on business performance.
  • Credible partner to executive and senior leadership teams, able to influence, challenge and align stakeholders in highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business strategy and growth priorities into skills agendas.
  • Highly effective relationship builder with strong executive presence, cultural intelligence and the ability to navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Expert in facilitation and coaching, supporting leaders to drive performance, transformation and capability uplift.
  • Extensive experience partnering with Sales Enablement and Commercial functions in different businesses, ensuring learning is embedded in the flow of business.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams across multiple countries, creating alignment, consistency and high performance at scale.
  • Data-literate and outcome-driven, with a strong track record of linking learning investment to capability, performance and business results.
  • A background in a Sales leadership position; experience working across different sectors.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDIC, SPIN).
  • Creativity and innovation in learning design and learner experience.
