Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Head of Product based in Birmingham who will join our RDx team, who build and operate workplace technology that brings together software, data, devices, and services. This is a new role, it is a strategic and transformational position and exists to bring clarity, focus, and strategic direction across the product portfolio within RDx.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for shaping product strategy, portfolio direction, and execution quality across RDx.
  • You will represent product thinking across the organisation, and ensure that our portfolio evolves in a coherent, customer-focused way.
  • This is a hands‐on leadership role – You will lead, coach, decide, and shape across a global scope.
  • Product strategy and portfolio leadership – Shape coherent direction across multiple products and teams.
  • Design thinking and creativity – Strong understanding of user‐centred design and innovation processes.
  • Technical fluency – Understanding of architecture, platforms, constraints, and trade‐offs.
  • Strong people leadership – Coaching, developing, and empowering product teams to do their best work.
  • Budget ownership and investment planning – Commercial awareness and ability to balance ambition with fiscal reality.
  • Clear communication and storytelling – Articulating complex ideas simply and persuasively to diverse audiences.

Given the global nature of RDx and Ricoh, the role includes periodic travel and collaboration across regions and cultures. You will work across time zones, navigate cultural differences, and build relationships with stakeholders who may have very different working styles and expectations.

You will ideally have:

  • This is a position of significant influence and accountability, requiring someone who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels with equal confidence.
  • Strong creative and design thinking – Ability to imagine new possibilities and articulate compelling visions.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity – Thrive in environments where clarity must be created, not discovered.
  • Able to work independently and make hard decisions – Confidence to lead without constant validation or direction.
  • Resilient under pressure and change – Steady and focused when circumstances are difficult or shifting.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience and a proven track record in a similar role, plus experience of working in a global or multi‐country set‐up and leading a range of stakeholders.
  • A background in technology or workplace experience would be highly beneficial to this role.
  • Successful candidates will have a proven background in product strategy and portfolio leadership, preferably across multiple products and teams.
