We are looking for a talented and experienced Offline Editor to join the team for a returning BBC Daytime series from the 10th August for 5 weeks.
Working alongside the Edit Producer, you will be instrumental in crafting emotionally engaging stories that celebrate both the remarkable restoration work and the personal connections behind each treasured item.
Your edits will help balance craftsmanship, character and emotion, ensuring every story resonates with audiences while staying true to the warmth and authenticity that define the series.
The Role
You will shape compelling narrative journeys from the rushes, weaving together restoration processes, expert insight and contributor stories into polished, engaging television.
The successful candidate will have a strong instinct for uncovering emotional beats, building anticipation around each repair, and delivering satisfying storytelling that captures the heart of the programme.
You will be a calm and dependable team player, capable of balancing creative ambition with practical deadlines, while consistently producing edits of the highest standard.
About You
- Significant experience editing daytime / Fact Ent series.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a strong sense of pace, structure and narrative flow.
- A natural ability to find and build emotional moments while maintaining authenticity and sensitivity.
- Confidence working with contributor-led stories and translating real-life experiences into engaging television.
- A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills when working with producers and post-production teams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively within established delivery schedules.
- Location The role is based from our Brighton Office but WFH is also a possibility
