Rickmansworth School is seeking a professional, welcoming and organised School Receptionist to join our busy Administration Team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in the day‑to‑day life of the school, providing an efficient front‑of‑house service to students, parents, visitors and colleagues.

As the first point of contact for the School, you will help create a positive first impression by delivering an excellent reception service, managing enquiries, operating the main reception and telephone switchboard, and providing high‑quality administrative support. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the School, you will contribute to the smooth running of reception and help ensure that all visitors and members of the school community receive a courteous, professional and responsive service.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities in a busy secondary school environment. You will be proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering high standards of customer service while maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures.

Selection Process:

We are required for only shortlisted candidates to conduct online searches about an applicant as part of our shortlisting process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance 2024 in order to identify any incidents or concerns which are publicly available online. On signing the declaration on application you will be agreeing to the acknowledgement that such searches will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where there will be a number of related tasks, details of which will be discussed on the day. Interviews will be held with the Headteacher and possibly another member of SLT. There will also be a tour of the school estate and this may be conducted by other members of the school community.
