Rick Stein Restaurants continues to grow and evolve, and we’re looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Commercial Coordinator to support our operational and leadership teams in driving performance across the business. This is a key role at the heart of our commercial function, helping to turn data into insight, supporting financial planning, and ensuring our restaurants are set up for success through accurate reporting, forecasting, and coordination of commercial initiatives. If you’re analytical, detail-driven, thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and enjoy working collaboratively across departments, this could be the perfect next step for you.

As Commercial Coordinator, you’ll work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and site leaders to support budgeting, sales analysis, reporting, promotions, and performance tracking—helping ensure commercial decisions are well informed and effectively delivered.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and maintain the supplier contract register, ensuring governance and planning ahead for an agreed rolling cycle of activity that delivers commercial benefit.
  • Proactively manage centrally procured product, coordinating demand with input from the data analysis team, and evaluating the impact of proposed changes to prepare recommendations for the Commercial Manager.
  • Manage the movement of stock for outsourced online fulfilment contracts.
  • Liaise with suppliers and outsourced providers over invoice and contract queries in line with agreed KPIs and SLAs set by HOT/Contacts.
  • Prepare briefs for new products to support the Commercial Manager and Operations, identifying potential solutions for review and approval.
  • Work closely with the data analyst to ensure data consistency, providing clear briefs and expectations to suppliers to enhance data quality.
  • Place ad-hoc purchase orders as appropriate.
  • Maintain a business change register alongside the Commercial Manager & IT Coordinator, logging change requirements, priorities, timescales, and coordinating stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify efficiencies through automation, AI, improved structure, and governance.
  • Prepare project briefs for business change initiatives, attend project meetings with the Commercial Manager, and keep risk registers and progress logs up to date.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager with any ad-hoc duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a commercial, finance, operations, or analyst role—ideally within hospitality, retail, or multi-site environments.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation.
  • Confident using Excel and reporting tools.
  • Commercially curious with a desire to understand business performance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
  • Passion for hospitality and supporting operational excellence.

What You’ll Get

  • The opportunity to influence performance across a growing hospitality brand.
  • Exposure to senior leaders and strategic decision-making.
  • Career development opportunities within Rick Stein Restaurants.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • A collaborative, people-focused culture.
  • Supportive leadership and training.
  • The chance to work with iconic coastal businesses and restaurants.
  • A role that offers variety, responsibility, and progression.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay plus tips.
  • Free staff meals and generous discounts across Rick Stein Restaurants, Rooms, and Shops.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Clear progression pathways within a respected hospitality group.
  • A supportive, inclusive team culture.
  • Extra holiday allowance for length of service – up to 5 additional days after 5 years.
  • Access to discounts on hundreds of retailers, health, entertainment, travel & more.
