About The Role
As Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Deli, ensuring smooth operations, excellent service, and a positive team environment. Working closely with the Head of Retail, you’ll help lead the team to deliver high standards, maintain compliance, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the Head of Retail in the overall running of the Deli.
- Leading by example, providing outstanding customer service, and handling guest feedback effectively.
- Assisting with training and coaching team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Helping to manage staff rotas, ensuring the team is scheduled efficiently.
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety.
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to minimise waste and control costs.
- Upholding health & safety, compliance, and food hygiene standards.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within retail.
- A hands-on approach, with a passion for great food, drinks, and customer service.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring smooth operations.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations (training can be provided).
- A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude.

Good to know... Parking – there is plenty of free parking available in Padstow. Travel to work – Padstow is on the bus route from Bodmin, Wadebridge and Newquay with regular buses throughout the day. You can cycle safely to work from Bodmin and Wadebridge to Padstow along the Camel Trail.
