You will be a key part of our kitchen team, preparing meals that cater to a range of dietary needs and bring comfort and joy to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Catering to residents across the Village, including the care home, serviced suites, the restaurant/spa, and resident apartments.
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
- Respond to residents’ dietary needs and menu requests.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate.
- Ensure all food is used within its prescribed period, with particular attention to perishable (high‑risk) goods.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and compliant dining environment.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
- Passionate about food, you have experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally with an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and a CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent.
- Open to new ideas, you have an innovative yet organised approach to cooking, remain calm during a busy service, and enjoy working with others.
