Job Description
CQC rating: Good. You'll help us make health happen by:
- Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
- Creating and updating individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records.
- Maintaining correct staffing levels through efficient management of rotas and ensuring adequate staffing is always maintained.
- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice and dignity.
- Building lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as fostering a sense of community.
- Developing strong relationships with local partners and liaising with them, raising the care home's profile in the area.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
- A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to the NMC Codes of Conduct.
- Understanding of the benefits of high-quality nursing care and a commitment to independence, choice and dignity for residents.
- Up-to-date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with residents and their families.
- A natural leader ready to share clinical experience, mentor the team, delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service.
- Excellent time-management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- A respectful and compassionate team player who believes in giving their personal best.
