Job Description:
- Monday to Friday. Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.
- Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
- Creating and updating individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up‑to‑date medication records.
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels through efficient management of rotas.
- Providing day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
- Building lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community within the home.
- Creating and developing relationships with local partners to raise the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed for This Role:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and continuing professional development.
- Understanding of the benefits that high‑quality nursing care brings to residents’ lives, championing independence, choice and dignity.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Effective communicator who can build honest relationships with residents and their families.
