Permanent, 40 hrs per week

Shift patterns start 8.30 am - 4.30 pm. Shift working 5 days out of 7 days with alternate weekends.

About the Role:

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Shop/Cafe Assistant with previous retail experience to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities And Requirements:

  • Greet and serve customers in a polite and professional manner
  • Prepare and serve hot & cold drinks, food, and snacks
  • Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the café/shop
  • Replenish stock and ensure displays are tidy and attractive
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
  • Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Basic cash handling and till experience
  • Good understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided)
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
