The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 ÂŁ per hour.

Location: Stroud Road, GL6 6UL, Richmond Villages, Painswick

Salary: ÂŁ13.65 per hour with excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent – Full Time

Shifts: 10–8pm, 12–8pm, 7–3pm (alternate weekends). No split shifts.

Welcome Bonus: £1,000 (single one‑off Starter Bonus payable after four weeks of service, subject to tax and NI; Terms & Conditions apply)

Responsibilities

  • Cater to residents across the Village, including the care home.
  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
  • Be aware of residents’ dietary needs and respond to menu requests.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate.
  • Ensure that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention to perishable goods.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and compliant environment for residents to dine.
  • Help maintain a clean and hygienic working area.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Passionate about food with experience in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures; NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds/CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent.
  • Organised, innovative, and able to remain calm during a busy service.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • DBS check required; Bupa will cover the cost (ÂŁ40).
