Location: Bupa The Donnington Care Home - Wantage Road, Donnington, Newbury RG14 3BE
Salary and Hours: £21.05 - £23.24 per hour, depending on experience. 36‑hour contract, 3x12‑hour shifts per week. Work Pattern: Full‑time. Flexible with days and nights. Must be available for Sunday night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the wellbeing of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
- Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
- Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each resident.
- Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for unit management alongside clinical duties.
- Previous experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained at a high clinical standard.
- Confidence offering clinical guidance to care teams, crucial in CQC tasks.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills for effective handover of clinical issues.
- Strong critical‑thinking, self‑reliance and ability to manage staff and remain calm in emergencies, particularly during night shifts.
