Location: Bupa The Donnington Care Home - Wantage Road, Donnington, Newbury RG14 3BE

Salary and Hours: £21.05 - £23.24 per hour, depending on experience. 36‑hour contract, 3x12‑hour shifts per week. Work Pattern: Full‑time. Flexible with days and nights. Must be available for Sunday night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the wellbeing of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each resident.
  • Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for unit management alongside clinical duties.
  • Previous experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained at a high clinical standard.
  • Confidence offering clinical guidance to care teams, crucial in CQC tasks.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills for effective handover of clinical issues.
  • Strong critical‑thinking, self‑reliance and ability to manage staff and remain calm in emergencies, particularly during night shifts.
