Contract: Permanent (Full time and part time available)
Shift pattern: Days and nights available. Days: 06:45‑14:45 / 13:00‑21:00. Nights: 20:45‑07:00. Weekends on rota.
As a Senior Care Assistant you will lead and manage a unit, carry out all clinical duties, support residents’ independence and provide high‑quality personal and social care.
Responsibilities- Day‑to‑day management of a care unit
- Administration of medication and accurate record keeping
- Reviewing care plans and maintaining clinical documentation
- Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including shift handovers
- Training and supervising new staff members
- Building relationships with residents, families and external teams (GPs, District Nurses)
- Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
- Supporting all CQC responsibilities and clinical duties
- Completed or working toward an NVQ3 in care
- Experience in a care setting (overall clinical experience preferable)
- Ability to lead a small team and manage shift handovers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid DBS check (Bupa will cover the £40 cost)
