Shift Pattern: Various shifts
Role: As a Pot Washer, you’ll assist our Chefs in ensuring all pots & catering areas are cleaned, maintained and safe. You will receive a thorough induction and ongoing training, including access to apprenticeships and our online portal with resources for personal development and LinkedIn learning.
Responsibilities:
- Washing dishes by hand or loading the dishwasher, storing clean items neatly to minimise breakages
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to keep them free of grease or spillage
- Washing worktables, walls, kitchen equipment and appliances according to cleaning schedules
- Operating kitchen equipment and moving between storage and work areas safely
- Ensuring the kitchen is tidy and secure; rubbish removed; supplies stored correctly
- Adhering to Food Safety and Health and Safety policies and maintaining records per HACCP policy
Qualifications & Skills:
- You have an understanding of Health and Safety, maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment, an up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent), and prior catering/kitchen experience.
- Experience in a care environment, stock control and simple meal preparation is advantageous.
- You are organised, adaptable, team‑oriented, and able to work independently.
