Job Description: Theatre Nurse / Practitioner - Recovery
Cromwell Hospital - London, SW5 0TU
Permanent
£35,964 to £45,480 per annum (dependant on experience)
Shift pattern - Long Days 07:30 to 21:00 / Early 07:45 to 15:45 / Late 13:00 to 21:00
Full time 37.5 hours p/w

Our main adult theatre is a busy and dynamic environment, setting the benchmark for clinical excellence. We have 6 operating suites catering for Cardiac, Orthopaedics, ENT and Ophthalmic, Plastics, General/Vascular, Urology and Gynaecology. We work with surgeons who are the best in their specialities carrying out simple to the more complex surgeries.

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By:
- As our Recovery Theatre Practitioner, you’ll be an important part of our operating theatre team, providing both clinical and technical assistance.
- You’ll help to assess patient needs, and then implement and maintain agreed standards of care.
- You will work in our busy and dynamic operating theatre, as part of a multi-disciplinary team that’s setting the benchmark for clinical excellence.
- Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures in Recovery.
- Assist in clinical and operative procedures in Recovery.
- Provide immediate post-operative care.
- Provide recovery assistance to our consultants during all surgical procedures.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role:
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children) Alternatively, you’ll be HCPC registered with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies.
- You might even be qualified to ODP Level 3 NVQ or ODA 752.
- Previous recovery experience is essential.
- Angio experience desirable.
