Overview

London Medical is a specialist outpatient clinic located in London's renowned medical district Harley Street and is now a part of Bupa Health Services. Our diabetes and specialist services offer customers fast access to diagnosis, treatment and support when they need it, as well as onward pathways to high‐quality care at Bupa's Cromwell Hospital.

What You'll Do

As Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to one of the on‐site consultants. You will interact with patients, consultants, staff and visitors to facilitate a coordinated pathway of care.

You'll Help Us Make Health Happen By:

  • Providing admin support to the department and prioritising doctors' workload to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Maintaining a polite, friendly manner and a high standard of confidentiality.
  • Working as part of a team and showing flexibility in shared tasks to deliver the best quality service for both staff and patients.
  • Filing all correspondence, test results and referral letters into the patient's notes before returning them to medical records.
  • Receiving telephone messages, faxed messages, and relaying them promptly to the concerned doctor; requesting patient information from external organisations.
  • Supporting the coordination of our multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure consultant engagement and smooth running of the meetings.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role:

  • Private Medical Secretary experience (essential).
  • 6+ years of experience, ideally with Med Sec Diabetes.
  • MDT (Multi‐Disciplinary Team) experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time‐management and prioritisation skills.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Telephony skills.
  • IT literacy.
