As a Driver, you’ll organise and facilitate a daily transport schedule that meets the needs of residents within the village, providing scheduled and on‑demand trips such as shopping trips, places of interest and medical appointments.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and delivering items of equipment to and from the village as required using company vehicles
- Carrying out scheduled checks on company vehicles, ensuring all documentation is in order and that vehicles are cleaned and have an adequate supply of fuel
- Reporting any vehicle defects and investigating and documenting the findings as required
- Completing journey logs after each use and monitoring Tax and MOT expiry dates, informing the Administrator near due dates
- Ensuring vehicles are locked and that alarms are activated when parking

Qualifications and Skills
As a Driver, it’s essential that you hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have experience in a customer focused environment. You’re polite and courteous with a can‑do approach to your work. Flexible and adaptable, you’re a skilled and responsible driver that has an ability to build a trusting relationship with people. First aid trained with previous experience driving groups of people, using wheelchair restraint systems and vehicle tail‑lifts would be advantageous. Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
