Richmond Villages Letcombe Regis is an award‑winning retirement village rated ‘Good’ in all areas by the CQC (February 2026). At the heart of the village is our care home, a 53‑bed facility providing nursing and residential‑dementia care. The role involves overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing and care provision, creating and updating individual care plans, maintaining accurate medication records, and ensuring adequate staffing through efficient rota management.
You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By:
- Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing and care provision within the home.
- Creating and updating individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up‑to‑date medication records.
- Maintaining correct staffing levels through efficient management of rotas to ensure adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
- Providing day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
- Building lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community.
- Developing strong relationships with local partners and liaising with them, playing an important role in raising the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role:
- A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
- Previous experience working as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment is essential.
- Possess up‑to‑date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Effective communicator able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families.
- Natural leader, ready to share experience and mentor a team, delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships.
- Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
