Clinical / Counselling Psychologist – Chertsey Mindplace Clinic

Chertsey, KT16 8LA – Permanent – Competitive salary + fantastic benefits.

Part‑time hours available: minimum of 4 sessions / 2 days per week. Full‑time roles available on a hybrid basis (onsite + remote).

Session Requirements

  • Monday to Friday – 07:30‑15:30 or 08:00‑16:00 and 14:00‑22:00
  • Weekends 08:30‑17:00 – at least one weekend session every three weeks, depending on location
  • 5 appointments per day

Your Role

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you will use your training and education to support customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives and by delivering therapeutic care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence‑based intervention.
  • Offer modality options: face‑to‑face, telephone, or video consultations.
  • Adhere to Bupa case‑management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
  • Work within sessional limits based on the client\'s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
  • Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
  • Offer ad‑hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
  • Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations.
  • Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness via remote presentations, workshops, and training.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa\'s service policies.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Essential

  • Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • General adult mental health experience.
  • At least 1 year’s post‑qualification clinical experience.

Desirable

  • Training and accreditation in specialised psychological areas.
  • Corporate experience.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes.
  • High standards in written and oral communication.
