Shift Pattern: 7-11am & 7-7am - On rota with alternate weekends
We make health happen at Bupa and are looking for Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide person‑centred care for residents in our Richmond Villages. You will be supported by thorough induction, ongoing training and opportunities for development including apprenticeships and online learning resources.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing and continence care in their own homes within the Village.
- Support at mealtimes where appropriate; serve meals in apartments or within the care home and help residents to walk, transfer in a wheelchair or use a hoist.
- Promote mental and physical activity through hobbies, interests or activities within the village.
- Answer emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
- Work with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals such as GPs, chiropodists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records; keep full documentation at all times to show care given, activities and any changes to health status.
Qualifications & Competencies
Ideally, you have experience in a care or dementia setting, or hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Full training will be provided for those who do not meet these requirements. You should be passionate about caring for others, respect people’s choices, put safety and welfare first, and communicate confidently with residents and their families while maintaining confidentiality.
