We're recruiting for a Learning Resource Centre Advisor to join our team at Richmond Campus. You will work as part of the Learning Resources Department, which supports student achievement by providing learners with an environment that encourages and nurtures learning while utilising both physical and digital resources to enrich the student learning experience.
Responsibilities
- You will play a key part in ensuring the Learning Resource Centre is a suitable learning environment at all times.
- You will handle enquiries from students and staff on busy service desks, and by email and telephone, and assist students in using online resources, databases and print resources.
- You will have direct responsibility for liaison for a Curriculum Area within the College to support the purchase of resources.
Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of IT and experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Confidence to address young people aged 16‑18 and manage behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
Employment Terms
This role is for 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year to cover term times. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1 September, the salary will be pro‑rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31 August 2026). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay is relative to the portion of the year worked.
