Responsibilities
- Provide communication support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Richmond College.
- Ensure students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum.
- Promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners among staff and students.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum qualification: British Sign Language Level 3.
- Possess good signing skills and experience working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment.
- Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are required.
Additional Details
- Support 36 hours per week, term time only for 39 weeks per academic year.
- For individuals who start after 1 September, the salary will be pro‑rated from the start date to the end of the academic year (31 August 2026).
